Taking a dedicated cab from Ayodhya to Kedarnath is the default choice for families and groups, and for good reason: you keep the same vehicle and driver for a five to six day circuit, nobody has to negotiate a bus seat at 5 AM in Sonprayag, and you can stop at Haridwar, Rishikesh or Devprayag on the way.

How the fare is calculated

Outstation fares are per kilometre, plus a driver night-halt allowance for each night away, because the round trip to Sonprayag and back is roughly 1,800–1,900 km and takes 5–6 days:

Example: a Dzire at ₹12/km over ~1,850 km is about ₹22,200, plus driver allowances for the nights on the road — which is where the ₹24,000–28,000 round-trip range for a sedan comes from.

We will always confirm one fixed, all-inclusive figure for your dates before you pay anything, covering tolls, parking, fuel, and driver allowance. If a quote is not written down, it is not a quote.

Our vehicle rates (the same rates as our taxi service)

Picking one: up to four people, Dzire or Aura. Families with parents, Innova Crysta — the ride quality matters over 900 km of highway and hill road. Groups of 8–17, a Tempo Traveller, which also swallows the luggage.

The route, day by day

1. 1 Ayodhya → Haridwar (≈ 680 km, full day). Via Lucknow and Bareilly; overnight at Haridwar or Rishikesh.
2. 2 Haridwar → Sonprayag (≈ 220 km, 7–8 hours). Through Rishikesh, Devprayag, Srinagar Garhwal, Rudraprayag and Guptkashi — the drive is the scenery.
3. 3 Sonprayag → Gaurikund (5 km shuttle). Private vehicles park at Sonprayag; the local shuttle covers this leg.

5. 5 Return the same way, typically with one more night break at Haridwar or Rishikesh.
